To say that being a doula is a dream come true would be an understatement. I felt this was my calling in life from a very young age when I would watch “A Birth Story” on TLC. I think I was around ten years old when I decided that supporting women as they join the ranks of motherhood was my destiny. With that being said, I was beyond excited to become a mother! After several rounds of fertility treatments, I was finally able to get pregnant and had twin girls. There were no words for the joy that I had when I held them in my arms for the first time.

Of course, this was quickly followed by many sleepless nights, an ungodly amount of diaper changes and the typical dosing off while nursing. About two years after the twins were born, I had a singleton and once again, she lit up my whole world. She is just barely learning to speak now, and her sweet tender voice pulls my heart strings.

My partner also has a son, so we have four children in total, and our oldest is seven years old.  So things can get a bit crazy at times, but at the end of the day, I would still do anything for them. I love the work that I get to do as a doula. I have met incredible people along my journey and it has brought me so much joy and fulfillment to watch these powerful women step into motherhood; either for the first time, or the sixth time.  I look forward to meeting with individuals from all walks of life and welcome every form of family to receive my services/support.
